COROS Water Recovery Mode
A watch that goes into the water only lights up if it sinks past the trigger depth. Set the trigger too deep and the beacon is silent in exactly the water where a lost watch is still findable. Drag the two sliders and watch that happen.
Watch detaches at the surface and sinks to the bed.
What a user would choose before getting in the water.
3,408 runs of the real state machine. Each cell is one water depth and one trigger setting. The column marked 10 ft is the threshold from the original feature request.
horizontal: trigger depth · vertical: water depth
Battery remaining when the watch went in: 105 mAh. Bars show average current draw.
The depth profile, every trigger time, and all
3,408 fire/silent outcomes are emitted by tools/export_data.c,
which links the same bb_beacon.c that would run on the watch.
This page replays that output — it does not re-simulate anything in
JavaScript. Terminal sink rate is modelled, not measured; see the repository
for what else is estimated.
